Was just watching national news in (USA) with interview of TSA Authorities and it appears they are definitely looking at going in the direction of 'pre-screening' passengers as a counter-balance to trying to find the bomb, gun, knife, etc through the search process. Much of this is as a result of the recent negative feedback they're getting about the 'legal' knives they decided to let on board. So they are leaning toward the focus on the 'person' not the 'item' security methology.
