George, you got that right. The system tries to capture a trend and when it fails it closes the position with a small loss. When it succeeds it holds on to that position consequently generating significant gains. It`s a kind of position management that has been built into it`s trending components. I can`t tell more about it because I`m not the person who designed it. The guy who created it can always be contacted at info@e-futuretrader.com.
I started with a $10000 account on the 2nd of January this year. I didn`t want to risk more cash because futures were relatively new to me. The system gave long signals at the same day, so I bought for each index 1 contract:
NDX $1386 (intraday margin), $2772 (overnight margin)
SPX $2309 (intraday margin), $4617 (overnight margin)
DJIA $2310 (intraday margin), $4620 (overnight margin)
total indtrady margin: $6005
total overnight margin: $12009
A house call was avoided when the overnight period started because the gains already become so big in such a short time I was able to keep each contract open with a beginning balance of just $10000.
Best, C.
