A large majority of dispensaries don't grow their own product. They buy from dealers who middle man for the growers. Growing is still federally illegal so its kind of shady business. Most of the Cali bud is grown in Oregon and brought in(illegally). Also dispensaries have to have a variety of types of bud so they buy from multiple sources.
