Charting the ChiOsc and GZFX

ChiOsc measures the Accumulation/Distribution line. As explained last night, this measures money coming in, and staying, versus money here for a short time only, or money that is being used to let a position out as opposed to developing a long stance in a stock.

It is a very useful tool and I take it very seriously.

I set ChiOsc at 9/21 for most stocks, most of the time. I did not tweak it for GZFX. You can check any stock in my stable of 400; most have that setting. The ones that don't are those which I want to see the abberrations on, at a glance, to determine quickly if they are warming up at all. This one, GZFX, is under scrutiny, and to that end I tune all indicators down a bit so they don't give false readings.

ChiOsc 9/21 is a deliberately high setting producing a flatter, delayed reaction, one that is reliable. I do it to take out the aberrations, the exuberance that is found with the 'out of the box' 3/10 setting. I want the reading to be calm, factual and relevant to the rest of the chart.

As the case in point, you can see now for GZFX that the oscillator is measuring the crossover on accumulation vs distribution at exactly the same time as the stock is getting ready to break out past 0.015, which is the true point at which GZFX will move ahead. In fact, tonight, it has jumped the gun by a few hours. 0.015 will be crossed Monday morning at the open, IMHO.

What could be a better representation of an indicator that is doing it's job than that? ChiOsc is a lagging, not leading indicator. I use it responsibly, for good reason. I want to be informed.

Please be reminded that these charts are created for my own use, to give me trading direction. Once again let me make it absolutely clear that I make them available here for discussion purposes only, and not to offer trading advice to anybody. Do your own DD.

Apologies: If an annotated comment on a chart is slightly out of date, and you feel so, please let me know. I try to update them at the end of every session, or before the next one starts. It's not always possible to stay on top of it, as thing change quickly.

The written annotations in the chart below are slightly out of date, and do not necessarily represent the close today. However, you can view the state of ChiOsc now, relative to the close compared to the open, when it was entertaining the Zero crossover this morning, and continued to remain expectant of that move up until a half hour before four o'clock today.

People who say that this stock is running only on sheer speculation and that there are no good fundamentals or technicals behind it are bashing the stock. The tehcnicals are already proven, by me and the other chartists on this board. The fundamentals are becoming more visible with every passing hour.
