Michael Steinhardt, well known hedge fund manager, came out of retirement to work for Wisdom Tree. Then later IDT who spun off GNE.
Jacob Rothschild, of RIT Capital Partners/Rothschild Capital Managment. An undisclosed entity affiliated with Rothschild purchased a 5.0% equity interest in Genie Energy

GNE owns 89% of GOGAS which Murdoch, Steinhardt, and Rothschild own minority stakes in.
