He doesn't talk about Nike making great clubs for him because I'm sure he knows he could start using Titleist's next week and perform about the same. He never said anything about Gatorade. Or Rolex. Or American Express. Unless of course he was in a commercial getting PAID as part of his contracts. I bet he never even drove a Buick.
Similarly, Jim Furyk will never mention 5-Hour energy and how it helps his performances, nor will a reporter ever ask about them in a post-round interview. In fact, that's probably very much against protocol to start asking questions about sponsors. I bet Furyk doesn't even use it. He might talk about it in a commercial, but I'm sure that was part of the contract he signed with the company.
I would bet that the success of Fuse Science and the stock price is about the furthest thing from his mind as possible. That interview with cnbc was pretty good evidence of that, he looked totally disinterested and the whole presentation looked staged and canned. I'm sure he was coached on a couple things to say, said them, and got out of dodge and moved on with his day.
