Attorney & Paralegal Survey

I'm an engineer and have been granted several US patents. The front end of the process such as filing and obtaining a patent is old hat for me but the back end, the patent litigation, has been an eye opener since getting involved with Vringo July last year.

The motions thus filed appear to me a regurgitation of what was already presented at trial. Correct me if I am wrong but the Judge already denied Google's motion there wasn't enough evidence presented to convict prior to the jury going into chambers. The two biggest issues was the past Google damage award and apparent Google shenanigans in not sharing information with Vringo on latches. The judge has had over 4 months to meditate on the Google damages error and everything presented at trial. He has now had a few weeks on the Google latches/shenanigans.

What I wanted to do in this post is to draw from the board attorney's and paralegal's real life experience when it comes to final judgement.

My question to everyone with years of experience with the civil law and trials: Once the last motion is filed by the two opposing sides, how long have judges taken on average (rough guess) to make their final judgement? It would be great if you could share the shortest and longest time you have seen.

I'm not holding anyone's feet to the fire for a prediction, just it would be valuable to get an idea of a min, average and max time.

Thanks a bunch for participating.
