i've been asking myself the "why all the speculation as to whether or not and when" question all week, but it was this written by "treepeople" that made me ask out loud.....
"The buyback has not yet started IMO, as I believe PBLS’ mgmt would jump in the middle of the spread to be the best bid to suck up some of these cheap-cheap shares."
again, and i'll say it until i'm blue in the face: i've seven-figures worth of PBLS and all the time in the world, but "effective immediately" means - now. it doesn't mean once all our ducks are in a row. it doesn't mean yesterday or last week. it doesn't mean this, nor does it mean that. it means, (since the PR hit at 10:01am eastern on the 9th) 10:02 eastern on the 9th. and if that is not what they meant, if that in fact is not the case? then the PR should have been worded differently.....
