Cash Cow for who ?? For Ken for sure - perhaps for sharp experienced traders for peanuts because you could never do volume - and a big fat maybe for the average retail player with guts. Not really worthwhile with lots of better stocks to play. You need liquidity to make money trading - and solid bids and asks so that you could get fast execution. Those conditions rarely existed on KATX. It was always and still is a cheap chintzy dirty little stock run by promoters with questionable ethics.
