Hmmm...Well, shorting into the run, when I've noticed is tactic that is used, obviously, at the end of a run. Of course that's only when I noticed. There's nothing saying that this isn't always done and that's the REAL reason why we have retracements etc.
I also noticed in the ones I caught on to, that they were sometimes an initial surge before a run (maybe like I was already expecting here)... Or they did have a residual surge. Plus I saw that this stock recently exhibited the squeeze effect in very small magnitude. It isn't always a dramatic event more like a sometimes pivotal regular dynamic. A lot of stocks don't exhibit it at all. Add some other things going for it including the basic fact that it's part of the Mary Jane group and they are now retracing but haven't finished.

On the other hand...I never like to be in the position where MM's have any kind of advantage over me (hard and unrealistic as that may be). And shorting is super toxic. Especially in penny stocks where only the big boys do it; and they are not speculating, they know. Plus they have the power to manufacture the outcome they're looking for...

So the short answer is...I don't know.
But I appreciate you asking so directly. It helped me get my thoughts together. Thank you.
First monday of the month. I'm thinking this may be the pre runup. Absolute guess; I could usually say with more certainty.
