I find it very difficult to believe that there is no indication or investigation regarding gross negligence, impropriety, or deception concerning the former management of Great Basin Gold. It would explain the complete breakdown and blocking of information relevant to the consideration and protection of shareholder rights. This failure came completely out of left field and my concern and worry is that this is a very real possibility. I'm not implying that this is the case but it would also explain the lack of Joint Venture potential and sale.
The complex legal framework now being constructed for the protection of Previous upper level management will, in my personal opinion, crush shareholder rights, restrict the flow of accurate information concerning asset values and inconceivable legal costs, and fend off what should now turn into a comprehensive / exhaustive investigation of management. I really am amazed that 1.6 billion (who knows for sure) in capitalization can disappear without an exhaustive search. These guys are really good and somehow it doesn't surprise me that Morgan Stanley is involved in valuation of assets....
Unsecured Debenture holders have a legal agreement through the B.C. Supreme Court and GBG is on the hook for close to $700,000.00 worth of legal fees concerning the Debenture Holders. Last meeting was in Toronto on Feb. 28th. I'm floored at the lack of information regarding the past and future timeline of critical events on this board. Debenture Holders have received proxies to vote on legal council retention and the process overseen by the BC Supreme Court. And common shareholder have done exactly what to protect themselves? Just exactly who is legal councel for common share holders? Just scary...especially given the amount of optimism being placed in a Junior mining company that has failed its common shareholders and blocked deployment of Information for and between classifications of shareholders. And you want to buy more stock without a firm understanding of what has taken place legally concerning various shareholder classifications? Really??
