Suppliers will take on any product if it means they can sell something. Obviously, this one isn't selling to them

Not so obvious to me. If a store has not yet carried a new product, how could they know it's not selling? Maybe it's more logical that they haven't received requests for it yet, have limited shelf space, and are happy with their current products, thus aren't looking to replace any.
