Hi Garci.
a gap happened when a stock open up or down from the closing price and not getting back there during the day.
History shows that many gaps have been closed in later days, even after weeks, month or years (see VVUS both gap down and gap up).

Some gaps never close - see JAZZ and many more.

ATRS closed most of it's gaps, the 2.92 might close, but it was under AIS symbol and the price hit this point a few days earlier, so the judges are still out there.
