You are probably right as far as waiting to take a stance, but the federal government already has control over the regulation and laws concerning marijuana, they do not need to take anything more away from the states. Marijuana is a commodity that is regulated under the commerce clause-Gonzales v. Raich, 2009-What I think is exciting is that the Administration is taking time to figure this out. They have already established their control over the states on the issue of regulating marijuana. To me any further consideration is evidence of a possible policy change.
