You are correct. Most exchanges are strictly electronic in nature, and now even the NYSE is moving in that direction.

Those crying about market makers regarding AAPT are simply making excuses for poor trading or trading losses or whatever. Market makers in this OTCBB arena are generally a computer terminal and/or server.

Funny how few complain about market markers and short sellers, etc. when things are going well.
