I surely don't have all the right answers but I'll guess that it might have been a requirement to making a big deal. A large corp. like KT might have wanted to hold their feet to the fire by making them put out info. that they are legally responsible for in order to show them some stability during a financially rocky time. Nobody would do business with someone that could not prove they would be around to hold up their end of it.
Besides I guess Ben was speaking literally when he said "Current".
