The swing was not because of any fundamental changes to VPLM. It was probably one of a few likely scenarios:

1. Terrible day in the market yesterday resulted in a margin call in a VPLM shareholders account and brokerage firm sold someones VPLM shares to cover their deficit

2. Someon bought VPLM shares last week on credit (3 days in the US and 5 days in Canada) and didnt cover their purchase in time (perhaps because of #1)so brokerage firm sold their position

3. Market maker games
