This is a story about a couple of guys who wanted to start a business. Oh wait… that’s not original. People approach each other every day about business ideas. However, there is one small point…Sujit lives in Pune, India and I live in Vancouver, Canada.

How’s that for a challenge? Actually, it’s been a blast. Ever since we started our business in mid 2003.

This is Kevin Penstock:

Sujit Jain:

This guy lives in Pune, India. A quick 140 km from Mumbia. What an awesome city.

Where is our office for our business? Well we do have offices in both Vancouver and Pune, however we really do work virtually. Ever read the book, “The world is flat” by Thomas Friedman? That’s our world. Also, when we talk about our business at Packetera Communications Inc, we’ll discuss how communications is different today than it was even 10 years ago. We talk minimum twice a day on our mobile phones and never think twice about the cost. That’s a result of services like www.itokk.com and we pay $20 to $30 per month maximum. Also we chat on IM and use Video.

So I ask, why can’t partners do business from opposite planets?
