New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's (R) high-flying public criticism of his own party seems to have finally cost him a price: an invitation to this year's Conservative Political Action Conference. Via NBC News:
One potential 2016 hopeful who won't be there, however -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Despite being the keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention and having a sky-high approval rating in the Garden State, CPAC officials told First Read Christie was not invited.
An array of high-profile conservatives are scheduled to speak at the annual conservative gathering held this year in Maryland. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) and even Mitt Romney are also scheduled to speak. http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/chris-christie-snubbed-not-invited-to-cpac
