How in the world can a person used up 1 liter of olive oil a week.

I was born in a metric country before I came here. I know how much is a liter ( as vs a quart, an oz etc ... even though I have lived here 42 yrs). I can feel the quantity in my bones. It is a lot. I have been cooking with olive oil for 10 yrs now, but I shudder to think that I have to consume 1 liter of oil, of soy sauce, of tabasco, of anything , day in and day out ,for an extended period of time.

OTOH, I have lost the feel of the Celsius scale.
