Over a twenty-eight-year career in the financial world, he was investigated for alleged securities violations by numerous regulatory agencies, none of which were ever able to prosecute him. He ultimately achieved white collar felon status in 2003 when he pled guilty to one count of accessory after the fact, involving charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud-a plea he provided in exchange for the federal prosecutor dropping all charges against his closest friend.
