Great points bud........ghosting is definitely more of a big player strategy......most likely used when you're working w/ larger sums of money......
This strategy doesn't work for the smaller players.......as you pointed out the % gains get eaten up quick by the commission fees.......
That's the difficult part in building the value of your account.......it's much harder to profit when you're working w/ smaller dollar amounts.....10% off a $1,000 is only $100......but 10% of $10,000 is $1,000.....& 10% of $100,000 is $10,000...
When you have capital to work w/ you don't need home runs......just base hits to make a nice profit.......but when you're account is small you need larger % gains to make up for commission fees......
This is why entry & exit points are so important when you're a smaller player.........every move counts......when you're working w/ small amounts of capital you don't have the luxury of making the wrong call.......getting Stopped out too many times w/ a small account and you're just plain out.......
I stress the importance of using charts & technical analysis, because entry point is Everything!.....& you have to know exactly when to sell.......$$$
