Jay Wright, MobilePro chairman and CEO, said, "We are pleased with our record results, which clearly demonstrate the benefit of our AFN and Kite Broadband transactions. Despite heavier spending on our NeoReach Wireless projects necessitated by an acceleration of that business, we exceeded our expectations due to continued strength in our CloseCall America division, slower churn in our dial-up ISP base than in the prior quarter, favorable seasonal effects on our payphone business (even with some minor setbacks due to hurricanes), some one-time favorable events and the accretive benefit of our AFN and Kite Broadband transactions completed on June 30. Despite these good results, we are continuing to focus on taking costs out of the business and we are looking at additional means to grow our business both organically and via merger or acquisition."
