You are missing my point.
A free market can't dictate an accurate measure of work.
Intelligence, creativity, talent is subject to the market place:

Einstein could not compete with Warren Buffet.
Carl Icahn couldn't hope to be a Theoretical Physicist.

A free market can only establish a price according to supply and demand,
at best.

Sure the market has been manipulated politically.

It's certainly not by those on Government assistance!
Gov assistance is offered to establish a safety net and that net has grown in proportion to the manipulation.
