SI Aliases or Nicknames are proprietary here??
Bob, tell me that investorshub.com is not in the business of
removing or altering a member's screen name simply because
someone who uses a similar or identical nickname or alias
(as in, NOT their legal name or a legally recognized mark) on
a message board site which competes with this one.
I joined investorshub.com several weeks ago, and I have posted
under the name "Lucretius". I went so far as to place a
disclaimer on my profile which notifies anyone who is familiar
with any member of any other message board site that my alias
here is not connected with that of any other member of any
competeing website who uses the name Lucretius.
Today I observe that your site administration has arbitrarily
changed my screen name to "not_lucretius" and has assigned the
screen name that I was first to select here to a newer site
member than myself.
Please explain the basis for this decision. Is investorshub.com
going to enforce someone's claim to ownership of a nickname,
alias, or mark, which to my knowledge, has no legal basis for
an ownership or right of exclusive use claim ?
If, in your zeal to create an SI clone message board site, you
trample the standing of your membership to achieve a pathetic,
Disney like caricature of an already declining web presence
like SI, to call your own.....complete with identical Disney,
or in this case.....SI characters, your site will be nothing
more than an amatuerish joke !
Give me back my screen name, IH admin. I have the same right to
choose a screen name if they are available on a first come,
first served, basis as anyone else. Who are you to enforce the
exclusivity of non copyrighted nicknames ?
