It was you who pounced upon an off hand remark and made a mountainous issue out of it, accusing me of being a liar. The original quote:

I did assume that the costs will only be half the average. (Plenty of phase III trials cost $45,000 per patient or more.)

The number I was assuming for influenza phase 3 trials was $13,000, based upon (what I now realize was incorrect) an average cost of $26,000 for phase 3 trials generally. Nowhere did I use that $45,000 number in any of my calculations, I simply pointed out that while $26,000 seems high, there are types of phase 3 trials that are much more expensive than that. I never claimed that bit of trivia to be highly relevant, you're the one making the big to do about it.
