A wall is when people put up a very large number of shares on the ask price. It's then like a "wall" that people have to knock down in order to make the stock go up any more. A lot of times, when people see a wall, they get scared, and you'll see a bit of selling. People sometimes put up fake walls, which are when they just put up a ton of shares for a minute, and then take them down before people can buy them, just so that they can try to drive the price lower.
