You're right that they were "free range" at CF1; not at Xining where it's pretty cold.

the cattle return at night which was probably 100 yds long with cattle housed on both sides. So you figure!



Okay, 5 feet for each head = 120 head. 3 feet seems too confining, but maybe not; that would be 200 head. (how wide is a 350kg - 700kg head of cattle?).

Xining had shed capacity for a lot more, but I don't remember seeing a whole lot more than one "housing's" worth.
