I cant believe what I just found on the Yahoo message board about Luminex!

Testing equipment maker Luminex Corp. is being awarded an $11.6 million contract to develop a biological agent detector for the Department of Defense, according to a DoD news release.

The contract call for Luminex to develop a "flexible and highly portable diagnostic instrument" capable of rapidly detecting "biothreat agents and host response biomarkers that are indicative of systemic disease," the DoD release said.

Austin-based Luminiex (Nasdaq: LMNX) won the contract from among 56 proposals received by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency at Fort Belvoir, Va., which is the contracting activity.

The work will be done in Austin and is expected to be completed January 2016.

Luminex, which employs about 614 workers, recently reported a $2.9 million profit on $48.3 million in revenue for its most recent quarter. Earlier in July, the company agreed to buy molecular diagnostics company GenturaDx.

SOMETIMES I THINK PSID & EVERYONE THAT PUMPS THIS STOCK IS IN ON A HUGE SCAM!
