got my first response from thailand about these meters i joined a forum to ask about them the guy wasnt from near bangkok but he has seen them and thought the drivers liked them they were showing them off apparantly, ripping off foreigners is commonplace and some wont use the moto taxis because of that, and as far as being used as a mode of transportation it is common he also went on to state the government is corrupt (thought the US had the market cornered on corrupt politicians), and if they are gonna make money (be paid off) itll probably be mandated; im hoping to get alot more responses as this thing progresses; get some first hand data
