I did some research on competitiors to Skype and there seems to be a number of companies: Jajah, Jive, ICall, Phone.com, VoipBuster, GoogleTalk, IChat, Vocalcity, just to name a few.

The value for the first patent, not to even mention the second patent could be (or shall I say, should be) HUGH!!! VPLM, is selling themselves short if they sell the company for anything less than, $ 300-500 million. I for one, would be extremely disappointed with anything else.

Remember, MicroSoft paid 8.4 BILLION for Skype!! Why doesn't VPLM just start their own voice face to face video company and enhance the value of their patents?

Or just licence them out to each of the named VOIP, and increase their market cap.

If they sell for only $ 100-150 million, they'll be looking back on this and be kicking themselves. This is pocket change for the Microsofts of the world. Pocket change. They have over 67 billion in cash.
