Thanks CP. So, if a market maker shorts to fill a buy order, how many shares and how long can the market maker do that before being compelled to cover the short with a buy? PPHM short interest is now approaching 9 million shares, which as you stated earlier, doesn't include shorting not held long enough to post overnight. Is the market maker short volume showing up in the short interest tally or are the MM shorts held "naked" (without borrowing shares) indefinitely?
