Does not matter. Using the same compounds for different purpose is grounds for a different patent; due to them being used in different context. In other words, it is beyond the scope of this patent. This patent deals particularly with oxidation.

Basically they have the right to use the word "antioxidant" on the Dixie bottles (maybe, though I think FDA would have to bless it too); just like berries or orange juice, or something to that effect.

You don't have to be a chemist by the way. The legal language is the driver here.

Also, this is a method patent. They did not invent or own the compounds; they only claim a particular way of using them.
