It is starting to "GEL" with the possibilities and choices of what is about to happen. IMHO there are those that will be wondering just what happened. IMO, Casual observers they are that can't find their way out of their "Bunker Mentality".....

Many here , as I have, studied relentlessly the "Successes and Failures in Business"..."Root cause Analysis" "Potential Problem Analysis" "Problem Analysis" yep the list goes on.

There are many here that have some of those "Life Experiences" and are willing to "Share" with others to proceed with "Caution" perform "DD" .

I have studied many situations in business to increase both TOP and Bottom Line Growth (Net Gain Productivity) from a P&L responsibility. Do not lose
sight of the statement by Mr. McHenry...."WE ARE AN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COMPANY". So many "Case Studies" in "B Schools". I do not believe you will ever find another "Blunder" like the Case Study of the IBM Senior Manager and Bill Gates/Paul Alan. The arrogance of a "Senior Manager" to sign away 100% of the "Intellectual Property Rights" to what we all now know was the "Genesis of Microsoft". Msr's Gates and Alan had some of the best Legal Advice available. Bill Gates Sr. a prominent Attorney in Seattle.Think he had a "Vested Interest"

Fred Smith FEDEX

The "VIETNAM WAR MEMORIAL" design Competition

Sam Walton Walmart

"Sanctity of Intellectual Property Rights" do not lose sight of that or take it lightly. In todays Business Environment you will not be "successful" if you do. It cannot be overlooked, Mr.McHenry is a Successful "EE" not a "BSET" and was instrumental in expanding "Bell South's (AT&T Baby Bell)" product offerings. Those Managers that he reported to are most likely due to retire. They are still committed to "TOP LINE GROWTH". Many of todays successful Businesses grow through M&A activity and "Strategic Alliances. I am inclined to believe more of the latter, IMHO.

So we shall see. As for the question of "Outstanding Shares" General Electric has 10 BILLION out there and Mr. Immelt has to generate a "Fortune 100 Business" every year just to maintain "Double Digit Growth".

Respectfully
