Once again this BE Meyers product is for "long range" also the words "high power"is used.

GLARE LA-9/P > Item No. 532C-LA-9/P

The GLARE® LA-9/P is our visual deterrent laser device for hail-and-warning applications exceeding 41 meters. Whether it's ship-to-ship signaling or airborne over-watch, the GLARE LA-9/P is the most effective non-lethal visual disruption device available. With twice the power and a more concentrated beam than the GLARE® MOUT, the GLARE LA-9/P can effectively hail-and-warn as far away as 4000 meters with its overtly bright green laser spot. This GLARE laser includes our Eye Safe® Safety Control Module to automatically shut off the laser when personnel are within the NOHD of embedded laser. The GLARE LA-9/P is available with a rifle stock mount for accurate aiming over long distances.

Hardly in the same category as the Dazer. The Dazer does not need a range sensor to shut it off because it is eye safe from 3 feet and beyond.

So once again some folks get all amped up when they find any news that may show weakness in the abilities of the Dazer.

The only thing these two products have common is the green beam. Kinda anti-climatic when you compare the two and their purpose.

Sorry to throw a wet blanket folks, and I hope there is more recent and relevant information available out there so all that searching isn't in vane.
