also HR across the nation seems to like to develop a list of credentials necessary but discusses little about capacities and desires to learn, motivations existing or not and levels of interest in what the jobs entail. The jobs for big firms are often only as good as the actual definitions of them.

Are expectations too high if one is expected to have all requirements without ever being exposed to such work.
