Secondary offerings increase liquidity as do purchasing companies, divisions etc. with shares. Look at some of the companies that have to do these secondary offerings or major shareholders that need to unload shares. Look at NLC on the big board...that's a good example. See what happened to it when they had to unload millions of shares in a single day. (It held up pretty well actually.)
