the meter has received news coverage overseas regarding the use and necessity especially for tourists who have been targets for some of the more unsavory drivers additionally i did check on this app it doesnt really work like a meter per se and the weather sealant properties of the device are one of the things contained in the patent if the need were not there all this interest wouldnt be either which has been demonstrated at least to my satisfaction but time will tell and as for other companies better equipped to handle it well apparently they have not and if they would try now the patents would protect the co. from infringement at this point and finally if there were no merit to the patents they would not have gotten a favorable ruling as a new technology which can be seen from a patent viewpoint when you combine several existing technologies to make a new device for a specific use
