I would (did) but then I don't have to put up with E-Trade. I bought yesterday with a similar spread and only paid .075 when the ask was .078 and the bid was .074. I have had good luck at buying, through Ameritrade, close to the bid on a day order. It has been my experience that usually when the MMs can buy shares cheaper than what your price is, they will eventually execute your trade because it's still profit to them. I will admit that I can't speak to how any other brokers or their MMs conduct their business but I can say that what I'm doing works for me with A-Trade. GLTY!
