I am glad they were able to bring this deal home. And as you said this is what RB said would happen. It's nice to see CEOs making goals they earlier set. Gives us investors confidence in our investment.
However, your characterization of the increasing capital spending as simply being need to move from 3 to 5 tonnes per day does not at all jive with the purported leaked analyst notes. Modeling the plant closer to the proposed SGA process instead of the HPA process sounds like something bigger.
Anyways, more details will come out. I'm sure they are doing it for the right reasons, whatever it is they are doing. I'll be watching the Silicon board as that seems a lot more concise and less noisy.
