You got it all wrong. In your example you were referring to a forward split not a reverse split. A reverse split is the reduction in the number of issued shares and is accompanied by a proportional increase in the share price. In your example 2 to 1 is a forward stock split, if you own 200 you will own 400. In contrary 1 to 2 reverse split, if you own 400 shares, you will own 200.
