Thanks for the article which is very informative if one understands the global view. Since Lehman exited bankruptcy, did they establish a liquidating trust? It appears they did and this is the mechanism to fund the agreed to distributions to the secured creditors. I am assuming that once this obligation is paid, the remaining assets are converted to cash for distribution to the CT's, Preferreds and Commons. Is the distribution in that order? Are there other unsecured creditors that have some right to the remaining assets or were they discharged in the bankruptcy?
I am writing this since you are very knowledgeable and can help me understand the priorities. Thanks in advance.
