Well, to quote you,

arguing over this is really not material on Implant's future

So why argue with me then? I actually do have the best future interests of Implant in mind; do you?

And anyway, I never contend that there is going to be "immediate" or "this year".

Thats your wording, not mine.

You are putting words into my mouth.

My specific point is exactly the same one as the management team made: YOU CAN NOT PUT A TIMELINE ON THE PURCHASES.

If I'm not mistaken, IMMEDIATE & THIS YEAR are timelines, are they not? I posit no timelines. Period.

My argument is with the idea that companies will not revisit this, merely due to prior decisions in prior years. IMHO, that is simply ridiculous, and given the pace at which technology runs, that it is fatuous, at best.

Every company is always going to be nosing around and involving themselves a search for technology that is superior. Last years technology decision does not inhibit this years look for a better solution.

Only you insist that last years decisions inhibit this practice. Its not what the real world does.

The real world will take a look. They will not be inhibited from looking at this technology.

Now, I suppose that a competitor might want to suggest that Implant will have less of an edge than it actually will have; that there will not be as much demand as there actually will be.

Implant's real enemy is CAPACITY, not demand, LOL.

Real world companies looked around last year. Real world companies made decisions last year. Real world companies will look around this year, and real world companies will make buying decisions this year.

What we will see, IMHO, is a lot of onesy-twosy buys; onsey-twosy buys to eval the technology, to get the thing in shop.

Thats what will happen, IMHO.

Manufacturing word usages I do not employ to falsely erect a fake version of my point of view does not make it true that I feel that there will be massive buying "this year" or "immediately".

That said, if you actually do feel that

arguing over this is really not material on Implant's future

, it would seem to me that engaging in the very act of arguing (and doing so by erecting a false version of what my point is) is a tad transparent.

:o)
