Even IF they were being produced at KSU, I would consider that to be a good thing until they can start doing it in-house. Many companies use other companies for parts of their process.
Here are just a few of the good things as I see it;
1. Cheap labor
2. Strictly managed labor. Do you really think KSU would want to be implicated in producing a tainted product?
3. Excellent quality control. They may be teaching a few courses in that at KSU and learning from experts.
4. Potential future employees from KSU
5. Summer Internships. You heard of that? There goes your shut down for the summer theory!
Could probably list many more benefits.
