Pretending that WRIT has been singled out by the New York Times as a "stock to watch", as was done by Thursday's press release, underscores that WRIT is an absolute scam. Every single stock ticker on the market can be pulled up in the fashion that WRIT is on the New York Times website, just like it can be retrieved on the Yahoo website and 100s of others. The only way to come up with WRIT on the NYT website is to google WRIT itself. A casual reader of NYT will never come across the WRIT page.

Furthermore, no where does it say on that website that Writers' Group is a "stock to watch".

Also, if you take the url http://topics.nytimes.com/topics/news/business/companies/writers-group-film-corporation/index.html

and cut off the writers-group-film-corporation/index.html suffix, to end up with the url http://topics.nytimes.com/topics/news/business/companies/
you will find a list of traded companies that does not include WRIT.

The press release was an obvious attempt to pump a worthless company and defraud more innocent people. I would rather take a loss on my stock than let anyone else fall for this game.
