Bob Langer's(cofounder NVIV) dossier on NVIV website indicates he has 760 patents and 220 are now licensed meanwhile 55 are in clinical trials or approved by the FDA. He is also past chairman of fda 2000-2. I am told his patent portfolio is second only to Thomas Edison. He has been awarded 186 major awards for technology and recently given a major award by Obama.
