I don't think you understand the arguement we're having here. I never said they were selling at a loss from what they bought and. You would be correct that I do not know that answer. What I am saying however is that the way the trade went through was a "sale". It went through at the bid so it can be called a "sale". Someone decided they weren't going to be able to sell them at a higher rate per share so they sold those shares into the bid.

This is simple, all trades are both a buy and a sale at the same time.

However


When a trade goes through at the bid, it's a sale.
When a trade goes through at the ask, it's a buy.

Selling into the bid is selling at a loss from the current going rate. Unless the bid and ask are the same price. Which very rarely happens unless there are AON orders there.
