These are renal tumor cells injected into live subjects. The cells are allowed to mature into measurable tumors and then treated. There are several types of mouse hybrid types that simulate human systems, but these are probably nude mice again. The thing is, many say that it cures cancer in mice, but that isn't the whole story. Kevetrin in combination shrinks human renal cancer in mice. Something much more promising and confirming.
