Assuming that they have been aware for awhile that results were going to be good, they can have the article all written up except for the exact figures, plug the figures in, make any changes needed in verbiage, and submit it. That CAN be done in a few days.

I think that they have had the data for awhile and have been doing the review of it. They can't issue a press release saying "we don't have all the data and the numbers but we think it's good." They have to have the data.

Publication can happen MUCH faster now. There are journals that are internet-only, and there are some that publish in the internet version before the print version comes back from the printing plant.

This is all navel-gazing speculation anyway.

The company reiterated JANUARY and I'm taking them at their word. It is VERY dangerous for companies to say one thing and do another, and they are smart enough to know that.
