Watching Sect'y of State HRC testify this morning before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee regarding the Benghazi incident, for which she has taken full responsibility, it is evident HRC is not only very intelligent but would not be a push-over for Senator Rand Paul (R-TN) who said she should have been removed from duty after the Benghazi incident...Sen Rand Paul (R-TN) went on to say the Bengahzi incident was the "worst tragedy since 911", completely ignoring the invasion of Iraq under false pretense during a Repub admin causing the loss of +4,000 lives. HRC cautioned the Senate Committee not to make the Benghazi incident a political football.
Rand Paul was obviously looking for a sound bite for his future campaign/s but it came back to bite him - he looked petty and devoid of the fact that losing +4,000 U.S. lives in a phony war in Iraq is THE "worst tragedy since 911"! Sen Durbin (D-IL) reminded everyone in the room of the words, "Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction".
This afternoon SoS HRC will testify before the House Foreign Affairs Committee regarding the Benghazi incident and I expect she will again handle herself professionally, stick to the facts, and reject an attempt by any Committee member to get involved in a political gotcha exercise, such as what Sen Rand Paul attempted - and failed at - this morning.
